A Chocoholic’s Dream: Baking Triple Chunk Brownies with Betty Crocker

Back to baking something again! This time, we are trying a triple chunk brownies mix from Betty Crocker! Let’s go~! ☆ミ(o*・ω・)ノ

Betty Crocker Triple Chunk Brownies Recipe


  • 1 pouch Betty Crocker Triple Chunk Brownie Mix
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg


  1. Preheat the oven to 165°C.
  2. Grease the bottom of the pan.
  3. Stir the mix, water, oil and egg in a medium bowl until well-blended.
  4. Spread the mixture in the pan.
  5. Bake for 38-41 minutes for an 8″x8″ pan, 33-36 minutes for a 9″x9″ pan and 31-34 minutes for an 11″x7″ pan, or until a toothpick inserted 2 inches from the side of the pan comes out almost clean.
  6. Cool the brownie before serving.

Things to Note

I am using a dark non-stick pan so I baked for 165°C. Otherwise, bake at 177°C.

Overall Experience

I think it was a bit of a disappointment ‘cos the triple chunk brownies were way too soft and mushy though the top crust looks fine. Seems like a lot of people were complaining about this new recipe giving really lousy brownies. I should probably try a recipe from a book next time for better brownies! Nevertheless, still happy to be able to capture some photos of yet another baking session. Can’t wait to use my Brandt oven when my house renovation is done! ( ´ ω ` )
