We bought a new oven recently as the old one has broken down. The temperature can be adjusted with this new oven. This means that I can use it for baking! I have always wanted to learn to bake so this is my chance~! \(★ω★)/

Betty Crocker Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie Recipe

While shopping around Cold Storage and was in the baking section. With the new oven at my house, I thought that it would be good to try baking so I bought a cookie mix by Betty Crocker. Feng came over to my house to visit me while I was still recovering from being sick. Thinking that he might be bored, I suggested baking. We started preparing and I also took the opportunity to capture the baking process~!

Ingredients

  • 1 pouch Betty Crocker Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie Mix
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 175 degrees C.
  2. Stir cookie mix, oil, water and egg in a medium bowl until dough forms. If the dough is too stiff, stir in an additional 1 to 2 teaspoons of water.
  3. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto the cookie sheet.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes if you are using a shiny metal cookie sheet or 7-9 minutes if using a dark or non-stick cookie sheet. Alternatively, note that the cookies have been set by observing the soft centres.
  5. Cool for 1 minute before removing it from the cookie sheet.
  6. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Things to Note

The cookie mix contains wheat, milk, egg and soy ingredients. So for those with allergies, do take note.
