The best thing about staying in the heart of Seminyak is that we are always just a few steps away from highly recommended restaurants and cafes. For this trip, it was even better as our private villa is just located beside the popular Revolver Espresso. That means we could “probably” wake up later and avoid the crowd to dine there~! Or is it? |ω・)ノ

Revolver Espresso, A Coffee Lover’s Haven in Seminyak

Hubs and I have been to the Revolver Espresso three years ago and we loved their coffee. We didn’t try a lot of cafes in Seminyak but it has the best coffee so far. So this time, we were excited to be able to stay just beside it. Great coffee for us every day ~! (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ

Visit Early to Avoid Queuing~!

Most of the highly recommended restaurants and cafes in Seminyak are known to be crowded during breakfast time. Since we were staying only a few steps away from Revolver Espresso, we thought we didn’t have to be there too early and reached there around 8.30 AM. But surprise, surprise~! The cafe was already bustling with life when we stepped in. w(°o°)w

The entrance and the interior of Revolver Espresso

We sat near the entrance, so we got to observe the constant flow of people in the cafe. Granted, there were more seats inside, but it just seemed like there was a never-ending stream of people going in and out of the cafe. We didn’t expect it to be so busy in the morning as it wasn’t so crowded during our last visit. Or maybe ‘cos we were dining at those odd hours. (*/ω\)

What We Ate

Somehow, I had a tough time deciding what to eat. There were so many items on the menu, but I just couldn’t make up my mind and ended up with a boring choice: the Big Breaky. How boring can I be to order the American breakfast right? (´-ω-`) Hubs decided to go with something not too common but yet a safe choice: the Triple Cheese Sourdough Toastie. Anyway, the food was generally okay. There was nothing to shout about though I do love their sourdough bread (‘cos I am a sucker for sourdough bread)! (´・ᴗ・ ` )

Our breakfast at Revolver Espresso: Big Breaky and Triple Cheese Sourdough Toastie

Interestingly, we saw a lot of people ordering avocado toast at Revolver Espresso. Some day, hubs and I should really try this millennial-favourite breakfast. But firstly, someone has got to tell me why it is so good ‘cos hubs and I just can’t understand the charm about it. ┐(‘~`;)┌

Hubs and I decided to share a cuppa of Flat White for our drinks. Even for a place serving the best coffee in Seminyak, hubs and I both tried not to take too much coffee as much as possible. But honestly, I think we should have just ordered a cup each because the coffee is just too good here! ٩(♡ε♡)۶

What You Really MUST Order When at Revolver Espresso

Since it was breakfast time, we didn’t order the most highly recommended item on the menu while we dined there. But the number ONE item that you SHOULD order at Revolver Espresso is actually their carrot cake sandwich. (´• ω •`)

Hubs and I only tried carrot cake once or twice in our lifetime and so far, they were all disappointing. I don’t know what constitutes a delicious carrot cake but personally, it cannot be too sweet. I don’t have a sweet tooth and anything way too sweet is just not meant to be eaten. So when we got to know that Revolver Espresso is known for its carrot cake sandwich, hubs and I were a bit sus about it. Hubs even said that this would be the last time we would be having carrot cake if it sucks. (x_x)⌒☆

And so we ordered the carrot cake sandwich with a cuppa flat white for an afternoon snack one day, and boy were we wowed by it! The carrot cake sandwich was not too sweet, and there was a good balance between the cream cheese and the cake. Pairing it with the flat white was the best thing that we could do~! (´• ω •`) ♡ So I guess they were right in saying that they had the best carrot cake! (✧ω✧)

Overall Experience

Being one of the highly recommended cafes in Seminyak, I would say Revolver Espresso did okay, mainly because their coffee was so darn good. Their food was generally alright, but that’s because there are too many restaurants in the area serving similar food.

When we left the cafe after our breakfast, there was a short queue outside. So, if you are dropping by, do try to come earlier to avoid having to queue. I highly recommend their coffee and their famous carrot cake sandwich when you’re there! ( ´ ▽ ` ).。o♡
