Private Pool Villa in the Heart of Seminyak

Our free and easy trip in Bali brought us from a private pool villa in Ubud to Seminyak. Our host for Umah Sunset, Ngakan, drove us from Ubud all the way to Seminyak, which is about an hour to an hour and a half ride away. He even helped us to call our Seminyak’s villa agent before our arrival so we were really grateful for all the communications that were done, without us having to worry about how to get there. Many thumbs up to Ngakan so we highly recommend staying with him! <( ̄︶ ̄)>

Villa Wahah is hidden in one of the intersections of Seminyak. The signs were not obvious and we were thankful for the pre-communications so the villa agent was out to greet our car upon our arrival. After unloading our luggage, we bid our farewell to Ngakan and took a selfie with him! Thank you Ngakan for the great service and stay at Ubud! (◕‿◕)♡

Why Villa Wahah?

There are a lot of choices when it comes to Seminyak. Be it staying along the fringe of Seminyak or in the heart of Seminyak. If you are to visit Airbnb, the choices are unlimited so you can only go with your heart to choose one that fits everything you want.

After shortlisting some villas on Airbnb, we did some more research on the possible location of the villas we shortlisted and decided to go with Villa Wahah. It’s a two-bedroom villa with a private pool (very important for all our stays these days) and its location is superb. Just walk a few steps and you are right in the heart of Seminyak! Not forgetting there are two mini-marts near our villa so buying drinks and snacks along the way back to the villa is so convenient. ٩(。•́‿•̀。)۶

Villa Wahah, A Villa in the Heart of Seminyak

Villa Wahah is managed by Luxury Villa Bali, a villa management company that manages a lot of villas around the world. We booked our villa through Airbnb and all the arrangements were smooth and prompt. They gave us the option of arranging for an in-villa chef for breakfast (at an additional cost) but with the villa being so close to everything, we didn’t opt for them but just the airport transfer.

Villa Wahah is one of the six villas there are found along the same street. We have neighbours but luckily everyone was pretty much well behaved so no/low noise is good for everyone! ヽ(o^ ^o)ノ

Check-In and Villa Tour

Check-In Process

As mentioned, the villa agent greeted us at the intersection and we walked to our villa. We had the welcome drinks while the villa agent gave us a brief introduction to the villa and amenities. All was good and then it was time for us to start enjoying the villa!

Importance of Two Bedrooms for A Couple

Typically it doesn’t make sense for a couple to stay in a two-bedroom villa. But a lot of really nice villas come with at least two bedrooms so not like we can do much about that as long as the price is within a reasonable range for us.

But we did find out the importance of having two bedrooms! Is that we have TWO TOILETS that we could use! This is TMI (Too-Much-Information), but I remembered both of us having to use the toilet ‘cos of a stomachache and having TWO toilets in the villa really saved us. Imagine having one… It’s gonna be bad… (×﹏×)

LOTS of Places to Hang Out

Since it is a two-bedroom villa, the villa is actually quite spacious and we have LOTS of places to hang out. The dining table was huge and we would have our Go-Jek orders on the table for our lunch/dinner.

The living area was mainly used to chill out at night. For being in an urban area, we were kind of surprised to have bugs disturbing us at night. Luckily we brought along a bug zapper but we couldn’t hang out too long having to keep swiping the zapper around. So we mostly hang out in our bedroom, with the aircon and the TV~

Seminyak Experiences

Similar to what we have been doing at Ubud, we basically just chill. Sleep, sunbathe and swim in our private pool. We played with our water guns, have our pizza float in the pool and also do stupid stuff like having Cony and Brown do a race in their mini floats.

Without a view this time, what else did we do? We eat and hang out at the many great restaurants and cafes in Seminyak! And not forgetting to tap on Go-Jek as well! These I will share in separate posts! (´ ∀ ` *)

Overall Experience

We TOTALLY enjoyed our stay at Villa Wahah. With its prime location and convenience, what’s not to love about this place! The only thing was the bug situation in the living area. So pro-tip is to bring along a bug zapper! It was our saviour and it will be YOUR saviour!

The service by Luxury Villa Bali was great! For ease of communication, we could liaise with the agent through the phone that comes with the villa. They were always prompt to all our questions and requests so we are definitely giving them two thumbs up for this great service. Together with the great overall arrangement for our stay, we can’t wait to stay with them for our next trip! ( ´ ▽ ` )

UPDATE (Oct 2023)

For some weird reason, the listing of Villa Wahah is no longer shown on Google Maps. A quick search on Google shows that the villa is still being managed by Luxury Villa Bali and listed on both its platform and Airbnb. So just something to share in case you are wondering why you cannot find it on the map!
