Why We Chose Strawberry Fields Bali

We had a lot of time on hand before checking into The Wina Villa Seminyak, so we needed to find a place to chill. There are many restaurants and warungs located along Jln. Batu Belig, the main street of Batu Belig. So, hubs and I thought it would be good to find a place to eat while waiting.

We wanted a place not too far from the property, and luckily, Strawberry Fields Bali was just a short distance away! Not only that, it is also one of the must-visit restaurants in Batu Belig. So off we go, walking to the restaurant after leaving our luggage with our accommodation. (@´ー`)ノ゙

Chill Vibes at Strawberry Fields Bali

We reached Strawberry Fields Bali around 1 PM. We were worried that it would be crowded since 1 PM is usually the peak lunch hour in most restaurants. So we were surprised to see only two tables of diners in there. This was quite an interesting sight, considering this place is one of the highly recommended restaurants in this area. I am going to assume it gets more crowded at night. (・・;)ゞ

Peaceful Setting and Lush Greenery

With the restaurant located just right beside the main road, i.e. Jln. Batu Belig, there was the occasional sound of vehicles passing by. But it was never noisy. Maybe because there was hardly anyone in the restaurant, it was pretty peaceful dining there, with music coming from the speaker.

The restaurant has two parts: “outdoors” and “indoors”. I put double quotes around outdoors as the whole restaurant is sheltered, so there isn’t really an outdoors to this restaurant. Just that the “outdoors” space has a lot of greenery and potted plants hanging from the roof, making it feel like outdoors. (´• ω •`)

Lush greenery surrounded the whole restaurant, with only the two entrances/exits visible outside. This gave diners a sense of privacy if they chose to sit at the tables closer to the road. You don’t have to worry about strangers staring at you from the pavement!

No Air-Conditioning, No Problem!

Even though there was no real differentiation between indoors and outdoors, we chose to sit inside. Note that this restaurant had no air-conditioning, so it doesn’t matter where you sit. If you worry about getting hot, fret not! They have fans installed around the restaurant, so dining there was still quite comfortable. We were there on a pretty hot day and felt okay. ( ´ ω ` )

What We Ate at Strawberry Fields Bali

Since we had a heavy breakfast in Sanur before coming to Batu Belig, we ordered some light snacks here instead.

Refreshing Juice and Average Coffee

For our drinks, we got the Morning Glory and Flat White. The Morning Glory is a juice made of apple, strawberry, pineapple and mint, which is up my alley. Hehe. It was refreshing and helped clean our palette after eating the deep-fried food. Even though it was a short walk from our accommodation, we still felt hot after the walking. So having this cold drink also helped us to cool ourselves down~!

Hubs got a Flat White since we didn’t have it in the morning. Haha! Getting flat white here is weird, so we weren’t expecting much of it. The coffee turned out okay. It was not too strong and wasn’t very foamy, good for those who prefer a lighter coffee for your afternoon tea break. (ᵔ◡ᵔ)

Delicious Light Snacks

We went for food listed under the Bits and Pieces on the menu and ordered Mac & Cheese Balls and Portuguese Chicken Strips. Both items were simple yet super delicious! The Mac & Cheese balls are simply mac & cheese deep fried in a ball. One bite into it, and the gooey cheesy goodness came dripping out of it. It was absolutely delicious!

I chose the Portuguese Chicken Strips, which looked really good in the photo. And I was not wrong! The chicken strips were so nicely marinated that they tasted so good by themselves. They were fried to the right consistency, so the inside was still slightly juicy while the outside looked golden brown. The taste of the chicken strips was further elevated when paired with the chilli mayo. I was not hungry but tempted to get another serving as it was so good! Haha! (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ

Overall Experience at Strawberry Fields Bali

If you want to find a place to chill in the afternoon, Strawberry Fields Bali might be good for you with its chill vibe and food. Since we didn’t come here at night, I don’t know if it has a different vibe at night. But based on what we have tried at the restaurant, I think you should be good if you are coming for its food. ⸜( *ˊᵕˋ* )⸝
