In 2019, I had my first savoury bowl at Sisterfields in Seminyak and fell in love with it. Fast forward to 2022, and we are back in Bali again! I was looking forward to having my favourite bowl at Sisterfields, but alas, they had revamped their menu. Boohoo! (ノД`) Since then, I have been on the hunt for something similar in Bali, but no luck. Until our latest trip to Batu Belig, where we discovered UNIBOWL PokeBowl Bali! \(★ω★)/

UNIBOWL PokeBowl Bali, Here We Come!

Of all the restaurants in Bali, UNIBOWL PokeBowl Bali was the one I looked forward to the most as it had such a wide variety of bowls on its menu. We could choose one of its signature bowls with our preferred base. Alternatively, we could build our own bowl with our preferred base and ingredients if none of the signature bowls fit our liking.

I chose the Miso Prawn Bowl with sushi rice as my base. Hubs, on the other hand, opted to build his own bowl. When both were served to our table, they looked absolutely tantalising! I couldn’t wait to dig in, but photos first! (´・ᴗ・ ` )

Mouthwatering Bowl of Miso Prawn Bowl

My Miso Prawn Bowl came with a HUGE variety of ingredients, with the star being the miso sriracha mayo torched prawn. What a mouthful of words. LOL. (*/ω\) Every single ingredient worked so well together! A spoonful of everything exploded with flavour in my mouth. (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ

I especially love the scoop of avocado in the bowl. You know how some places serve avocadoes that are not ripe enough and are pretty raw or hard? Well, it is definitely not a problem here at UNIBOWL PokeBowl Bali! It was a scoop of smooth-tasting avocado. My only complaint is the miso sriracha mayo on the prawn. While delicious, I felt the taste was too much after a while.

Building Our Own Bowl is the Way to Go!

Hubs built his own savoury bowl and had sushi rice as the base as well. He chose Garlic Prawn as his main protein and added other toppings such as nori, corn and mushrooms. Surprisingly, his 63-degree egg came in a separate little bowl instead of on top of the bowl. It actually resembles a soft-boiled egg, which we thought was rather interesting.

I tried the Garlic Prawn and loved it A LOT! This version of the prawns has no sauce, so it was easier on the palette. I think the garlic prawn was perfect for someone who generally dislikes sauce on her things and loves her prawns. So, if you are like me, you can consider getting this instead for your bowl!

Overall Experience at UNIBOWL PokeBowl Bali

Hubs and I absolutely love the bowls we had at UNIBOWL PokeBowl Bali! For 85K IDR (~7.30 SGD), I think it is pretty reasonable considering the size of the prawns and quantity. I love it so much that I told hubs I must have it again before we fly back to Singapore. So we decided to order from the restaurant again on GrabFood. This time, I built my own bowl and had the garlic prawn.

We usually don’t eat from the same restaurant twice since there are so many options in Bali. So when we do this, you bet the food must be good! I highly recommend visiting UNIBOWL PokeBowl Bali for its absolutely delicious and affordable bowls here at Batu Belig. For those who prefer a smoothie bowl, they have it here as well, so you are not left out of the bowl club! ⸜(*ˊᗜˋ*)⸝
